So I've been trying to use new ingredients. Here's my reviews
Fennel-better then we thought
Rice Sticks-neutral, although I don't know if I made them right
Capers-not a fan (they tasted like little green olives-I only like the black ones)
Kale-great in soups -doesn't get soggy like spinach
Tonight's arugula-I think it's just fun to say-arugula

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure these foods would fly in my house. I've got the missionaries tonight for dinner...maybe I'll whip out a mystery ingredient for them although last time I had them...one of them didn't know what asparagus was.
ReplyDeleteI was really kinda shocked how excited the kids got to try new things. It was like dinner show and tell. Asparagus was the last thing I ate before I got my appendix out and I will never be able to eat it again.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I used to get away with stuff like that more but my kids have gotten into a sudden picky stage. I told them they'd better be careful or mom just may stop cooking altogether!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I'm so impressed! I am not a vegetable fan (and I majored in health--go figure) but am crossing my fingers that one day my kids will eat all those things!!!
