Super Eddie

After wearing a shirt and tie to church all morning, he spent the afternoon wearing this.
Being 8 means you're too old to run around in your underwear, but not quit old enough to realize wearing them over shorts, probably isn't the best idea.
Guess who got Super Hero Underwear for Christmas?
Rumor has it he is wearing Batman ones underneath the shorts.

Got Popcorn

Photo: Guess how many popcorn bags I found in the playroom? The kids really aren't supposed to eat up stairs and they aren't even very sneaky when they do it anyways.  I hadn't been over that side of the couch for a few days, and was a little shocked to find 10 bags of popcorn.

Embarrassing moment of the week

After suffering through 2 dumb phones in the past few months, I finally gave in a bought a smart phone.  It is a handy little tool and a fun toy.

My husband is a smart phone veteran, and so I asked him to set up my e-mail accounts so I could view them on my phone. I have one for my blog/etsy store and another for personal use.

In a fun a flirty way he nicknamed my personal account "Hot Mom". (love that man)

I am the team mom for one of my kid's teams and thought I'd try out my new toy and send out an e-mail to the team about upcoming pictures this weekend.

So I sent out an e-mail to 9 virtual strangers (I'm a tad anti-social at practices and usually chose to read over small talk) with the subject line "Pictures" from "Hot Mom".

The horror!

Mice

The horror of mice in the recycling bin! (guess we need to be better about washing our garage) I hired Spencer the Exterminator to pull it out to the curb and put traps all over the garage. I paid him in soda.

Gag Relfex

Spencer has the strongest gag reflex of anyone I know.  When he started kindergarten, he kept throwing up at lunch b/c the other kids would chew with their mouths open.  Yesterday he told me he couldn't go to school because he felt sick to his stomach.  He said that he had a dream that people were throwing up orange juice and milk and he actually woke up in the middle of the night to throw up. He didn't feel better until 10:00 am and I took him to school.

5th Grade Graduation

Somehow Spencer's graduation from 5th grade was never blogged about it and it is just too cute to skip.

Mr. G-maybe not his favorite teacher, but he got him ready for Middle School.

Chicago

This actually happened in April 2012, but never made it in a book).
Scott had a meeting, and Tara tagged along to keep him company and cross off a few of her 40 by 40 goals.
We rented a car to drive to Indiana so Scott could visit his 50th state and take a picture and eat some lunch.

As we were driving to Wisconsin, we saw a sign for a Jelly Belly factory and had to stop and pay homage.

#33 Each Cheese in Wisconsin.

Scott's 2 homes when he lived in Chicago. (at least we think)

Watch the Cubs, ate a hot dog, froze, and watched George Costanza throw out the first pitch.

#34 Eat pizza in Chicago.
Free Ritters!

Checking out the local art scene.

#30 Visit the Willis (Sears) Tower (Do I look freaked out?)
