I posted a pic of Riley, b/cause she's been under-represented so far on this blog.
So here's a couple of glimpses into the mind of a 4-year-old
1. I was conducting sharing time last Sunday and we were discussing families and how each member of the family has different roles. I asked the children what Dads do. I got answers like, "To protect us, to make money"etc. Then I called on my son who said, "To check people's teeth." I'm not sure if he realizes that all dads aren't dentists.
2. One of our family goals is to eat healthier. Sunday night, I asked the kids to come up with one healthy dinner. Eddie's answer-"Corn dogs and bacon".
3. I guess I refer to anything you put on your hands as "gloves". At school, they read a story about a boy that lost his mittens. When Eddie got back in the car, he informed me. "Mom, my teacher says that those red things that you put on my hands are called "mittens-not gloves". Dang it! I guess I've lost my job as being the authority on what to call things.

ReplyDeleteWith Eddie and the rest of the class...there is NEVER a dull moment in Sharing time. Those kids are so funny :)
The four year old brain is awesome...most of the time. They are hilarious. I think I like Eddie's idea of a healthy diet. : )
