Ist Quarter Awards Assembly

Warning: The following post contains lots of Mommy-bragging.

I went to an awards assembly at Riley's school this morning. They gave out awards for the student with the highest GPA in each class. Riley took home the award for Social Studies (that's my girl), Math (all Scott), PE (seriously, I gave birth to a kid that wins the PE award?). In addtion she rocked a perfect 4.0 GPA-I don't think I ever did that. I know we shouldn't be proud, but I'm sure feeling blessed to have such an amazing daughter.

When we first moved here I had a hard time getting the kids in adavance classes. Their counselor actually told me that at their last school, they were big fish in a small ponds, while now they would just be another fish. Today, I want to go charge in the schoool w/ my stack of awards at tell her that Riley isn't now-nor ever was just you average fish.

  2. Love mommy bragging! I am honored to see Riley each week . . . . . she gets an "A" in my book also!!!

On another note, I had the same problem when we moved here! After my daughter got 4.0's in all subjects and Justin passed all of his high school graduation tests in the 8th grade they soon changed their minds about my little fish!
