Poconos Day 1-2 (or why my dad is going to heaven)
So after a very busy 4th of July, we went to church and then the kids and I took a very long drive to the Poconos to meet my parents. Apparently, half the population of the East Coast was also traveling north and traffic was a little heavier than I'd like. The kids were pretty good and we didn't actually stop once in 6 hours. The first day, we were all exhausted and mostly hung around the condo. Eddie LOVED miniature golf and Spencer loved fishing. Actually, obsessed is more like it. "Loved" denotes a healthy relationship, and Spencer and fishing have anything but a healthy relationship. That's all he wanted to do and was grumpy when we did anything else. He refused to take any advice and kept tangling up his line. He is not the most focused child and it probably wasn't the best idea to let him continually fling a sharp hook around (he caught my Dad's brand new shirt). Then after several hours of not catching anything, it would be time to go home and then came the tears. The joy of fishing>
