Pre-race

My friends (Aubrey Horner, Aly Vaughn, and Laurel Laney), invited me to go a run 10K with them in Schertz.  I haven't run more than 5 consecutive miles since high school, but I signed myself up anyway.

My favorite part was that my mom was at the finish line bursting with pride and holding a homemade sign.  She even had drinks for all my friends.

 We are all different ages, and so each got either first or 2nd place in our age groups.  Aubrey is super speedy and was the fastest overall woman.

They drew for door prizes, and I won a discount card!

It was a great day we finished way faster than we expected-about 1 hour and 2 minutes!
